General Science (5-Adult) Add-On Endorsement Course Sequence for West Virginia Teachers

This coherent sequence of courses is designed to prepare teachers to pass the Praxis II subject matter exam in General Science.


Teachers who possess a valid West Virginia Professional Teaching Certificate and pass the Praxis II subject matter exam in General Science may apply to the West Virginia Department of Education for an add-on endorsement in General Science (5-Adult) by passing the Praxis Exam.*


This sequence of courses will provide you with everything you need to become an effective General Science teacher, you will:

  • Know how to teach Science
  • Have the resources to teach Science

  • Unlimited Self-Study courses for an annual membership fee of $95
  • Teacher-Facilitated graduate courses for $195/credit

NJCTL is a duly authorized New Jersey Graduate School of Education seeking accreditation.


To obtain credits from an institution accredited by a USED-recognized accreditor, courses can be transcribed with NJCTL’s partner, Adams State University.


* Please note that this option is not available to individuals based upon possessing a Provisional Teaching Certificate, Student Support Certificate, Administrative Certificate, or Permits of any kind.
