Adams State University FAQ

NJCTL is pleased to offer teachers the option to transcribe credits with our regionally accredited IHE partner, Adams State University (ASU).

 

  • WHICH COURSES DOES NJCTL OFFER ONLINE?
  • All NJCTL courses are offered online. Click here to view NJCTL's graduate courses.
     
  • HOW MANY NJCTL CREDITS ARE AVAILABLE FOR TRANSCRIPTION?
  • Click here for a chart showing the NJCTL credits that are eligible for credit transcription with ASU.
  • The maximum number of credits that can be transcribed with ASU in one semester is 20.
  • *Please note registration is closed between mid December and mid January for winter break. 
     
  • WHO IS ELIGIBLE FOR CREDIT TRANSCRIPTION?
  • Teachers completing NJCTL's graduate courses may earn credits through this partnership.
     
  • HOW MAY I USE THESE GRADUATE CREDITS?
  • Credits may be eligible to be used to move on district salary guides, satisfy state requirements for continuing education and/or to earn a new subject-area endorsement, or towards an advanced degree.

  • Teachers should check with their district, state, or prospective graduate school in advance to determine if ASU credits will be accepted. Neither NJCTL nor ASU is responsible for credit acceptance. Please note that transcripts will contain letter grades and courses will be reflected as as Science (SCED) or Math (MAED) Education courses.

  • WHAT IS THE COST TO TRANSCRIBE CREDITS?
  • The cost is $55 per credit, payable directly to Adams State University.
     
  • WHAT IS THE PROCESS TO TRANSCRIBE CREDITS?
  1. Complete your NJCTL course.
  2. Use this link to register and pay to transcribe credits with ASU. 
  3. Email the receipt you received from ASU to registrar@njctl.org. Please indicate the courses you are transcribing in your email.
  4. Once you verify that your grades have posted by ASU, order your transcripts from www.parchment.com.

Note: Coursework prior to Fall 2024 will not be reflected on this website but will be reflected on your transcript.
