MSTL Program + Add-On Endorsement
This 34-credit Master of Science in Teaching and Learning Physics is 100% online and asynchronous, and was developed for current teachers interested in learning to teach physics through a combination of content courses for teachers, field experience, and Praxis examination preparation.
This program is approved by the New Jersey Department of Education and provides all the required instruction in both physics content and teaching methods, so that currently certified New Jersey teachers, in any subject area, can add-on an endorsement to teach physics.

Physics Program of Study
Complete before entering the classroom in the fall.
Complete in the fall, teach one section of PSI Algebra-Based Physics to students while receiving online coaching and support from NJCTL.
Complete in spring, teach one section of PSI Algebra-Based Physics to students while receiving online coaching and support from NJCTL.
Complete coursework in preparation to take the Physics Praxis and General Praxis (if needed). After passing the mandatory Praxis exam(s), candidates apply to the New Jersey Department of Education for endorsement.

Anyone with a bachelor's degree in any subject, with any GPA, may enroll in NJCTL courses and/or a master's degree program. No prior mathematics or science background required.
