NJCTL opens new doors for solving our staffing vacancies. Not only did they help with a short-term leave replacement, but since they offer courses for teachers to earn endorsements in high-need STEM areas, we can “build our bench” and always have the teachers we need.
We couldn't find a short-term maternity leave replacement. We are so grateful to NJCTL for stepping in to support the substitute with lesson planning and a solid physics curriculum and providing live instruction from a certified physics teacher once a week.
Thanks to NJCTL’s leave replacement program we were able to ensure our students stayed on track academically and our substitute had the content support he needed. I couldn’t recommend this program more highly.
Now that I have completed this program, I am one of the most highly-qualified teachers in the district. I have credentials that everyone is looking for that no one else has. Becoming a chem teacher has changed everything for me!
Whenever my daughter got off a call with her instructor, she had a look of satisfaction and confidence on her face. The NJCTL instructors are passionate about what they teach and really care about their students’ learning. This excitement rubs off on their students!
NJCTL’s platform provided our students access to their entire AP Chemistry curriculum, discussion boards, and assessments. NJCTL provided live instruction for each unit to ensure our students' success on NJCTL assessments and the AP exam.
The course content is great—very clear, comprehensive and precise—and there is not a lot of filler. You learn the same materials you will be teaching your students, which gives you the framework to build upon without having to write your own curriculum.
I go to a small, rural school. Taking NJCTL’s online courses allowed me to study more rigorous coursework and helped me better prepare for college since I now have a much stronger foundation in the sciences.
My NJCTL instructors were amazing, and the program prepared me really well for the Praxis and for classroom teaching. The curriculum is very rigorous, but it is also modifiable, so I can easily differentiate the labs and presentations to meet the needs of students.
I am quite the fan of the NJCTL curricula and have adopted it for my AP Chemistry class and my honors chemistry classes. My students love it. It challenges them and is appropriately scaffolded to their level.
