MATH6453: Learning & Teaching AP Calculus AB

About

This course is for teachers to learn the content of PMI AP Calculus AB and how to teach the course to students. It introduces the study of limits, continuity, differentiation, and integration. Concepts are presented and explored from symbolic, algebraic, graphical, and numerical perspectives. Topics include Limits & Continuity; Derivatives; Applications of Derivatives; Analyzing Functions Using Derivatives, Integration; Applications of Integration; and Differential Equations.

This course is specifically for teachers who would like to learn to teach AP Calculus AB.  The course contains much of the same content of Introduction to Calculus, but with additional units of study and specific AP-style free response questions.

You should not take both Introduction to Calculus and AP Calculus AB, but should select the one that best fits your needs. Students in our Master's Degree program may select either.  If you are not sure which is better suited to your needs, please email admissions@njctl.org.
