ELA6314: Supporting Diverse Learners in ELA
Course Description: This course focuses on supporting diverse early learners using a Multi-Tiered System of Support (MTSS) in the ELA classroom. There are two areas of emphasis: 1) supporting those who are English language learners and 2) identifying students who are in need of remediation (both in early literacy and speech/language). Candidates will learn strategies for assessment, how to interpret/analyze these assessment results, and to plan appropriate strategies to support these diverse learners.
Teachers can start and complete courses anytime, anywhere at their own pace.
