For more support and structured learning, use these comprehensive online courses that
are based on the same classes NJCTL uses to teach subject-area content to teachers to
learn middle and high school mathematics, as well as AP physics, chemistry and computer
science. A full list of courses is available here.
These courses are designed for you to learn at your own pace so you can quickly move through topics that you understand easily and spend more time in more challenging areas.
NJCTL’s approach to online learning is unique. The way it works is that each topic is
introduced with a brief video explanation. This is followed by a question to test your
understanding. You are then immediately told if you are correct and given
access to a video showing how to solve the problem. This is repeated through a
series of questions that helps you build their your understanding.
Once that topic is complete, you go on to the next topic.
Our self-study courses are hosted on our Moodle platform and include the same content and instructional elements as our free materials from Step #1, plus:
-
Automatic Feedback and Videos for Formative Assessment
-
Virtual Labs
-
Auto-Graded Quizzes
-
Student Progress Bar
Move at your own pace and easily share your progress with your parents or teacher.
These courses are only offered to NJCTL Members. Click here to learn more and to join.
