We are classroom teachers experienced in remote learning, here
to support your child every step of the way.

Science. Mathematics. Computer Science.

Step #1 K-12 & AP Course Materials

Free. Comprehensive. Aligned to National Standards.

We provide everything your child needs to learn K-12 and AP science, mathematics, and computer science so you don’t have to hunt down materials from various sources.

These materials can be downloaded and used any time day or night...on a device or printed out.

Our student-centered approach provides a brief explanation immediately followed by a question for your child to answer. In most cases, they can then click to see a video explaining how to solve the problem. This repeats with a series of questions to build their understanding before moving to the next topic.

Our broad range of free materials and resources include:

  • Instructional presentations
  • Classwork and homework (with answer keys)
  • Labs

Step #2 Self-Study Courses

Self-Paced. Asynchronous. Learner-centered.

These comprehensive online courses are based on the same classes NJCTL uses to teach subject-area content to teachers. They include everything your child needs to learn middle and high school science and mathematics, as well as AP physics, chemistry, and computer science. A full list of courses is available here.

Your child will be taught in a learner-centered setting. Units are made up of a series of topics. Each topic is introduced with a brief video explanation. This is followed by a question to test your child’s understanding. They are then immediately told if they are correct and given access to a video showing how to solve the problem. This is repeated through a series of questions that allows them to build their understanding. Once that topic is complete, they go on to the next topic.

Our self-study courses are hosted on our Moodle platform and include the same content and instructional elements as our free materials from Step #1 plus:

  • Automatic Feedback and Videos for Formative Assessment
  • Virtual Labs
  • Auto-Graded Quizzes
  • Student Progress Bar

Students move at their own pace and can easily share their progress with you or their teacher.

These courses are only offered to NJCTL Members. Click here to learn more and to join.

Step #3 Teacher-Facilitated Courses

Transcript-Eligible. Asynchronous. NCAA Approved.

These courses differ from self-study courses in that they are taught by NJCTL instructors who are certified teachers, with master’s or doctoral degrees. Teachers will grade your child’s work and provide you and your child feedback about their progress.

These comprehensive online courses are based on the same classes NJCTL uses to teach subject-area content to teachers. They include everything your child needs to learn middle and high school science and mathematics, as well as AP physics, chemistry, and computer science. A full list of courses is available here.

Teacher-Facilitated Courses include the same content and instructional elements found in Steps #1 and #2 plus:
