The PowerPoint presentations do not have the links attached for the demos.

Kathy - unfortunately the links on the pull tabs don't convert over from the Notebook file to the Pouwerpoint. You can find all of the demos at this link: https://njctl.org/materials/units/work-and-energy/?open=Teacher%20Resource

Hi, I am new to teaching AP physics, but I noticed that the definition of a closed system is what I have traditionally been teaching as a definition for an isolated system in other physics courses that I have taught. I was under the impression that a closed system is one in which energy can enter and leave, but matter cannot. Thank you in advance for your time. Phil

Phillip, You are correct. A special case of a closed system is the isolated system where energy can't move in or out. But as you pointed out, a closed system allows energy to move in and out. I will fix the presentation - will take a couple of days to get all the words and recording right. Thank you for your attention and comment! John
