Q22 - No answer is good. "B" is given as correct, but since the object is a conductor, the valence electrons are not bound to a nucleus. Yes the inner electrons will be on the side of the atom closest to the (+) rod, but the movement is from the valence electrons. Better answer, "All free electrons will move to the side of the conductor nearest the positively charged rod."
