Can you elaborate on the differences in levels between the classes of Mathematical Physics, Algebra Physics, and Trigonometry Physics? I am trying to find the right fit for my Honors Class with a requirement of concurrently taking Algebra II.

Mathematical Physics is an 8th grade introductory physics course that uses algebra, but not trigonometry (sine, cosine, tangent, triangles). It covers motion (mechanics), energy (mechanics), electricity, magnetism, sound waves, electromagnetic waves and digital signals. It is aligned with NJ science standards for middle school. It can also be used for freshmen at lower levels.
Algebra Based Physics is at the same math level as Math Physics, but has more complex problems - both in physics concepts and math - but still, no trigonometry. It is designed for freshmen, and high performing 8th graders.
Trigonometry based physics uses trig and similar problems to ABP, but adds two dimensional motion.
Hope this helps!
Melissa
