If you just need to fill some gaps to earn an endorsement…simply take the courses you need. This can be as little as preparing for a Praxis exam or as extensive as taking a full round of courses to learn more and earn graduate credits from our accredited IHE partner.

Any certified teacher can add a Physics Endorsement by passing the Physics & General Science Praxis exams and having 30 credits in physics. Certified chemistry teachers can add a Physical Science Endorsement by passing the Physics Praxis and having 15 credits in physics. NJCTL’s online courses provide everything needed to pass the Physics Praxis and earn any needed credits.
Any certified teacher can add a Chemistry Endorsement by passing the Chemistry & General Science Praxis exams and having 30 credits in chemistry. Certified physics teachers can add a Physical Science Endorsement by passing the Chemistry Praxis and having 15 credits in chemistry. Any certified teacher can add a K-12 Mathematics Endorsement by passing the Mathematics Praxis exam and having 30 credits in mathematics. NJCTL’s online courses provide everything needed to pass the Praxis and earn any needed credits.
Any certified teacher can add a Middle School Mathematics Endorsement by passing the Middle School Mathematics Praxis exam and having 15 credits in mathematics. NJCTL’s online courses provide everything needed to pass the Praxis and earn any needed credits.
Any certified teacher can add a Middle School Science Endorsement by passing the Middle School Science Praxis exam and having 15 credits in science. NJCTL’s online courses provide everything needed to pass the Praxis and earn any needed credits.

Anyone with a bachelor's degree in any subject, with any GPA, may enroll in NJCTL courses and/or a master's degree program. No prior mathematics or science background required.
NJCTL is an online graduate school of education duly authorized by the NJ Office of the Secretary of Higher Education with initial programmatic accreditation from the Association for Advancing Quality in Educator Preparation (AAQEP). NJDOE accepts NJCTL credits towards meeting certification requirements. Learn more.
There are instances when credits from an institution that has institutional accreditation are needed. For instance, some districts require them for tuition reimbursement and/or salary advancement. Some DOEs outside of NJ require those credits to meet their certification requirements. If needed, credit transcription is available. Learn more.
