New Technology Grants for PSI-PMI Implementers

CTL will be a part of each of the Morgridge Family Foundation presented Share Fairs in 2014. In addition, a new partnership allows CTL to offer educators who attend a Share Fair the opportunity to compete for a matching grant to offset the costs of classroom technology used in implementing the Progressive Science Initiative® (PSI®) or the Progressive Mathematics Initiative® (PMI®).

Each year, Share Fairs create a free, daylong opportunity for educators, students, the community, and leaders in K-12 innovation to come together and become a part of the transformation of teaching and learning. Share Fairs propel schools toward the best 21st century teaching and learning opportunities. In 2014, CTL will be on board to present PSI-PMI to those in attendance. It is a great time to meet educators committed to fair, effective, innovative education. Check out Share Fair on Facebook at https://www.facebook.com/ShareFairEd

Three of this year’s Share Fairs have been announced; the fourth is pending. Share Fairs are currently scheduled for

Orlando FL                            January 11, 2014

Washington DC                    March 8, 2014

St. Louis MO                         March 28, 2014

To register to attend Share Fair in St. Louis, go to https://www.regonline.com/builder/site/default.aspx?EventID=1438782

To learn about PSI-PMI at Share Fair Orlando, register for Demystifying Science and Mathematics for all Students, where you will meet CTL Executive Director Robert Goodman and Senior Program Manager Melissa Axelsson.

Educators who attend, learn about PSI or PMI, and decide to implement either program, will be eligible to apply for grants from CTL for up to 50% of the cost of classroom technology (interactive projectors and responders) and teacher training tuition needed. These grants, combined with discounted costs for the technology in question, make implementing PSI or PMI extremely affordable. Full grant guidelines are available at njctl.org/sharefair.

“There are a thousand great reasons to attend a Share Fair. This grant opportunity is the cherry on top. Bob and I are excited to be heading to Orlando. Being with leaders in the STEM education revolution is a powerful experience,” CTL’s Melissa Axelsson commented.

We look forward to seeing colleagues both new and old at 2014’s Share Fairs. Come join CTL in lighting the way to the future of education.
