Build Your STEM Skills and Teaching Repertoire! NJCTL Introduces a New Course: Learning & Teaching PSI AP Physics C

This engaging new course is designed for those who want to learn to teach Calculus-Based AP Physics C: Mechanics at the high school level, or an equivalent course for college students. The course has a sharp focus on ensuring mastery of physics and mathematical concepts and understandings. The critical topics covered include vectors, one and two-dimensional kinematics, dynamics, energy, momentum, rotational motion, universal gravitation and simple harmonic motion. Those who take the course will learn to apply general principles of physics and advanced problem solving to the full range of these topics.

To solve scientific problems, the course challenges students to identify, understand and communicate the elements, as well as representations and models of scientific phenomena, using calculus as a mathematical base.  By leveraging accessible technology to enhance the learning process, it establishes these connections through exploration, problem solving, formative assessment, presentation, and communication.
