A lot of these arrows have no direction shown (no tip).

By the way- I can not thank you enough for all of this material.  It is so good!!

Peter - thank you for letting us know. We will get someone working on correcting this. The arrows are there in the SMART Notebook version - they just sometimes don't carry over to the Powerpoint or PDF. We will let you know once we correct it. - Melissa

On General Problem 2 part c, would not the direction of the B-field be to the right? If current goes into the page and the force acts upward to balance gravity, the right-hand rule would show us a rightward B-field, correct?

Alex, point your four fingers into the page, the direction of the current. Point your thumb up - in the direction of the magnetic force. Your palm faces to the left - or you can curl your fingers to the left - same thing. So, the magnetic field points to the left using the right hand rule.
