Doesn't the wording of FRQ #3 imply that point a is at a higher potential difference? This would change the answer to both parts a and b.

Michael, thank you for pointing out this error. The question didn't give enough information - it should have specified whether the current is increasing or decreasing. It now shows the current increasing, so point b would have the higher electric potential to provide the back emf. The problem set has been corrected and posted. Please check it out and let me know if it is ok. John
