I am very confused by this unit. In the past you had information on how to find the length of the line segments without plotting them, however, those slides have been removed yet you still expect the students to do this. Please explain. Also, slide #79 (Question #41), how are the students expected to know the square root of 8? This unit has always had many issues, but I believe now you've made it almost unusable.
Liz the slides about how to find the length of line segments are now in our graphing unit. That unit has a topic titled "Cartesian Plane Applications". The slides at the end of this presentation are just to reinforce that idea again while pulling in some more of the Geometry skills they learned in this unit. I agree about question 41, they can't do that yet. I switched the points so that it has a base on -2 and then the height can be counted on the grid. I am getting our writing team to add some more slides to this presentation so that they can answer the questions that are on the quiz.
