#23 I think... There is no answer here. I calculate the answer to be 3344kJ/mol. Delta H for this reaction is -2044 kJ/mol rxn. In the reaction, there are 3 moles of CO2. 216 g of CO2 is used, which is 4.9 moles. So (-2044/3)*4.9 #34. There is no answer if you use the bond energies given. I calculate the answer to be -109kJ/mol. #35 There is no answer if you use the bond energies given. I calculate the answer to be -2862 kJ/mol

Hi Yoko, You are correct. #23's answer should be 3345 kJ/mol. For #34 the bond enthalpy for the H-H bond was incorrectly stated. It should be 436 kJ/mol which would result in an answer of -97kJ/mol. For # 35 the bond enthalpy for C=O should be 799 kJ/mol which will result in an answer of -2,455 kJ/mol. Thank you!
