I noticed the Year Long plan for PreCalc mentions a unit called Transforming Parent Functions. However, I only see a unit called Parent Functions. Can you clarify this for me?

Audra Crist • 2 years, 4 months agologin to reply

Dear Mr. Lakind, Thank you for your comment. We apologize for not getting back to you sooner. The unit "Transforming Parent Functions" is not available anymore on our site. If you would like to use some topics from other courses, instead, then I would start with the Algebra II Linear and Absolute Value Functions topic titled "Transforming Functions" (final topic of the 2nd presentation). It can be found using the link below: Transformations are also referenced in the Quadratic Functions presentation. I will send you an updated copy of it via email. It will be posted on our site once a few more of the supporting files get finished. Our Pre-Calculus course will be better aligned for the next school year. Kind regards, Audra

Presentation Table of Contents is missing from available units.

Audra Crist • 2 years, 4 months agologin to reply

Dear Mr. Cerritos, Thank you for your comment. Please specify the units that are missing a Table of Contents. We can add them in once we receive that information from you. Kind regards, Audra

So I see a lot questions on this course. Could you please specify what year exactly are you seeing as "next year"? I wish there was more done on the unit plans. Thanks!

Audra Crist • 1 year agologin to reply

Dear Deb Yoast, Thank you for your comment. Our plan is to begin making revisions to our Pre-Calculus course in late summer 2018, in hopes that we stay ahead of the teachers for next school year (2018-2019). Kind regards, Audra

Just wondering if the revisions have started on the course. Thanks

Audra Crist • 9 months, 1 week agologin to reply

Dear Pam Foushee, Thank you for your comment. Yes, we are in the process of writing the content for this course. Right now, the first 4 units (Functions, Polynomial & Rational Functions, Exponential & Logarithmic Functions, and Trigonometric Functions) are having their presentations written. The supporting files in these units will start to be created in the next week. As the files in each unit are completed, we will be posting the updated content on our website. Kind regards, Audra

Thanks so much for the quick response.

So when I clicked on "Download All" for the Functions *NEW* unit--it downloads all the old 2013 and 2015 files. Was wondering if someone could fix this. Thanks and have a good one!

Audra Crist • 8 months agologin to reply

Dear Deb Yoast, Thank you for your comment. I went through using the "Download All" button 2 times: 1) When logged into my account, it downloaded all of the files with the old dates, as you reported 2) When logged out of my account, it downloaded all of the files accessible to the public (i.e. presentation, unit plans, labs, & cw-hw files) with the updated versions (from the last few weeks, when the files were updated). The assessments did not download, due to the privileges set up on our site. You are correct, this is very bizarre, and I will be sending this information to our technology team to correct the issue. My recommendation for the time being would be to "log out" of your account, download most of the files using "Download All", then log back in & download the assessment files separately. Kind regards, Audra

Audra Crist • 5 months agologin to reply

Dear Deb Yoast, Thank you, again, for bringing the issue w/ the Download All button to our attention. Our technology team has updated its functionality to download the most updated files. Kind regards, Audra

The Functions Unit does not have a Review at the end of the CWK/HWK but the Unit Plan suggests a day for the review. Will they be adding the review? Thank you and have a great day!

Audra Crist • 6 months, 2 weeks agologin to reply

Dear Deb Yoast, Thank you for your comment. Yes, we will be adding a review to the end of the CW/HW file in the future. The Math team is currently training educators in Lesotho, Africa and will not be able to get to this task until after we return at the end of October. In the meantime, I would suggest pulling a few questions from each section of the CW-HW file and change the numbers, functions, graphs, etc. Kind regards, Audra
