Course Descriptions

Teaching Algebra-Based Physics
This course cluster focuses on the teaching of all the content used in PSI Algebra-Based Physics and teaches the pedagogies, assessment strategies, technology, and curriculum employed to make it a powerful course. Completion of this cluster prepares teachers to begin teaching Algebra-Based Physics. This cluster spans one to two semesters depending on when students begin (Spring semester or Summer).

Fieldwork, Teaching AP Physics B, part I
This course cluster teaches the content used in the first half of PSI AP Physics B. Teachers will simultaneously be teaching their own Algebra-Based Physics course in their schools. While meeting to learn new content with their peers, teachers will have the opportunity to collaborate and get support for teaching that course. During this semester, teachers will also be supported by a PSI professor who will visit them in their class, providing feedback and assistance. This cluster spans the entire Fall semester.

Fieldwork, Teaching AP Physics B, part II
This course cluster teaches the content used in the second half of PSI AP Physics B. This cluster spans the entire Spring and Summer I semester.
