CTL provides solutions for people seeking their initial teaching certificate for chemistry or physics, or for current teachers to add an endorsement to teach either of those subjects. Both programs are based on CTL’s award winning Progressive Science Initiative (PSI).

Teaching Endorsement

Already a New Jersey teacher? CTL’s Endorsement programs are designed to take New Jersey teachers from any existing certification area (English, social studies, etc) and lead them to endorsement in physics or chemistry. Since 2009, more than 100 teachers have taken these courses and are now teaching PSI Physics or Chemistry in their schools.  Learn more

Alternate Route

CTL’s PSI Alternate Route Program will prepare you to be a highly effective physics or chemistry teacher.  Unique among alternate route programs, the PSI program was designed by science and mathematics teachers to enhance student learning and teacher effectiveness in those subjects. Learn more
